Raised Lines Foundation has been awarded the prestigious HCLTech Grant, a significant recognition of our commitment to empowering underserved students through access to quality resources.
Our proposal, centred on reaching over 5200 visually impaired students and creating access to STEM education with tactile resources across 20 districts from 3 states of India. We are incredibly proud to announce that we have been selected as one of the winners. This remarkable achievement comes with a ₹5 crore grant, distributed over the next four years, enabling us to significantly scale our impact in these three crucial states.
The journey to this moment has been filled with dedication, passion, and a shared vision to make a difference in the lives of young visually impaired learners. To learn that our proposal was chosen from over 13,900 applications is both humbling and deeply inspiring. This being our first application for the HCLTech Grant makes this victory even sweeter and further validates the importance and potential of the work we do.
This grant will be instrumental in reaching out to the students with visual impairment of inclusive schools and special schools for the blind in the rural areas of 3 states. Our Initiative will expand inclusive education and create access to STEM education for the Children with Visual Impairment (CwVI). The grant will help us reach and train more special educators and teachers about the tactile resources. Also, we will be creating several Resource Hubs for the visually impaired students of these states. We are eager to embark on this new chapter and work diligently to reach the CwVI who need our support the most.
