“Previously we used to create tactile books with thread, 3D liners to teach children which is labour intensive and we have to use one single book to teach several children which was a challenge. Now with RLF books, our work has become considerably easier and more effective. The tactile books are handy and reusable."

I want to share feedback of one of our students who passed class 10th. “Indeed, the tactile books have helped a lot. These books were a medium to provide a clear visualisation of various complicated illustrations and were a helping hand throughout the year. However, at times, it was difficult to distinguish between different colour combinations which were indicated by various textures in the books”.

“The RLF tactile map book helped me imagine the shape, position, area of our country, states, oceans and other countries. Previously based on audio or what was told to us we vaguely pictured it but now I'm very happy we can feel the shape and size of our country, India clearly. "

"The tactile book from RLF helps me visualize objects I've never touched previously like a tiger, parrot, boat, rocket. I was thrilled when I got to feel how a tiger would look like. I love feeling the objects with my fingers and imagining them. I explored the entire book on my own at one go. Now I can even learn geometry and other mathematical concepts which were challenging previously. Thank you RLF "
Raised Lines Foundation is a not for profit, Section 8 company incubated out of IIT Delhi. We started our work 4 years ago under Centre of Excellence in
Tactile Graphics (CoETG), established at IIT Delhi, with an objective of developing end to end solutions for the development of tactile diagrams in affordable and scalable manner. Raised Lines Foundation (RLF) is incubated from the know-how developed at CoETG to meet the huge unmet demand of tactile diagrams throughout the country and the same team is taking this endeavour forward.
RLF provides tactile design and production services and is closely working with NCERT, Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan (Govt. of India), WSSCC (UN organization) and other organization working in the field of blindness to covert textbooks, resource books, manual etc. in accessible formats along with the tactile diagram .
